Natural Rearing
Our family's journey into an organic and sustainable lifestyle completely transformed our health and well-being in addition to the way we raised our dogs and puppies. We focus on maintaining vibrant health through natural rearing practices. Our beautiful country setting provides a wonderful environment for raising our dogs - we believe there is no substitute for a species appropriate diet, an abundance of room to run and play, clean air, spring water and sunshine.
Our care-providers possess unique skill sets and educational backgrounds of: Animal science (with extensive experience in genetics and animal nutrition), dog training (including titles in the AKC hunt test arena), studies of permaculture design and herbalism (encompassing aromatherapy and homeopathy) and vast research into holistic care practices.

Puppy Socialization
Our whole family delights in each puppy born at Creekside. Children and adults play an integral role in the socialization and development of the puppies from the time of birth and assist in their care as well as making sure they get plenty of exercise! The puppies are included in the day-to-day happenings on our farm, and this produces a highly confident, well-adjusted and happy puppy ready to go home and bond with you. We have found that early exposure to many different sensory stimuli within our safe environment affords the puppies an opportunity to develop a high level of confidence and adaptability.
We involve our dogs and puppies in the activities that our family enjoys such as leisurely walks on mountain trails, picking wildflowers in the meadow, wading in the creek, horse-drawn wagon rides and playing in the snow. The diversity of wildlife on our property gives them a chance to practice using their keen sense of smell from an early age.
Every Creekside puppy gets LOTS of personalized love and care. We invest a great deal of time working individually with each puppy to make sure the transition to your home is as stress-free as possible for both you and them.

Quality Nutrition
We believe that providing high quality nutrition is extremely important in the growth and development of healthy puppies. Creekside puppies are given the best nutritional start possible because we feed a canine-appropriate diet which includes a combination of raw foods and premium adult/puppy kibble formulas with human grade ingredients. Good nutrition both during gestation and after birth is crucial to the foundational building blocks of health that will positively impact your puppy’s health for a lifetime.
As advocates of a raw diet for canines, we produce our own organic chicken, beef, lamb, eggs and goat milk from animals raised our chemical/pesticide-free pastures. Our farm animals are never fed genetically modified (GMO) ingredients, antibiotics or hormones. We are therefore able to personally ensure the highest level of quality nutrition in this portion of the food our dogs receive.
Our babies are introduced to solid food beginning at 3 weeks of age and are allowed to follow a natural and gradual weaning schedule determined by the mother dog which typically results in them being completely weaned by 7 weeks of age.

Vaccination Protocol
Research data supports that repeated assaults on the immune system from unnecessary vaccinations are the source of many diseases in pets today - including allergies and cancer. After studying immunization protocols recommended by two leading immunological experts, Jean Dodds DVM and Ron Schultz DVM, we utilize and recommend a limited core vaccination schedule. We offer administration of the NeoPar single agent Parvo vaccine prior to puppies to going to their new home.
We highly encourage the continued implementation of a very limited vaccination schedule for the lifetime of your dog.

Airline Transport Options
If you would rather not drive to pick up your puppy, we recommend an in-cabin airline transport option that provides a safe and low-stress means of uniting puppies with their new families where they can be constantly monitored and reassured during the flight. We DO NOT use cargo services for transporting our puppies.
OWNER FLY-IN: We meet you at the Tri-Cities Regional Airport near Bristol, TN.
Cost for this option is $100 (plus the price of your roundtrip ticket and the airline pet fee of $125). In addition, you must purchase a soft airline-approved carrier for under your plane seat (cost approximately $60).
For locations in the Western half of the US where the incoming and outgoing flights are difficult to schedule on the same day, we recommend an overnight stay at a nearby pet-friendly hotel (that offers shuttle service) that will allow you to fly out the following morning.
Tickets requiring only one stop are available to most airports in the US as Tri-Cities offers direct flights to:
1. Atlanta, GA via Delta Airlines.
2. Charlotte, NC via American Airways.
3. Orlando FL (Year-Round) and Tampa, FL (Spring - Fall) via Allegiant Air.
